Robert Oatley Limited Release Cabernet Sauvignon

Dense black as night heart with a deep dark red black hue. Wafting from the glass are potent scents of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and cigar box trailed by some black olive, earth and spicy dried herb notes. Medium bodied the palate is filled with rich blackcurrant fruit which overlays a back drop of liquorice, cigar box, black olive and spicy dried herb characters. Providing ample structure are sturdily built fine grained tannins. The long generously fruited conclusion complexed by notions of cigar box and spicy dried herbs. Cellar 6-8 years. Alc. 14%

Radford Dale Syrah

The two vineyards that produce the Radford Dale's Flagship Syrah are both planted on granite & clay Koffee Klip soils on the Helderberg slopes; one with 360 degree views over Table Bay (West Coast), False Bay (South Coast) and the backdrop of the jagged Helderberg peaks, the other facing directly over False Bay to the South & South East. Because of the hilly terrain these vineyards are planted on various aspects, but mostly South and South-east facing slopes. Because of the topography of the area, these vines are quite exposed to the cooling South easterly winds during the summer and this brings cool air in from over False Bay that moderates daytime temperatures.
