Sangiovese

Maretti Sangiovese

Sangiovese at its fragrant best. An amalgam of red berries and black olive complemented by dried herbs adding savoury edge. Fresh and bright palate weight with fine grain tannins that ensures it ends dry. Great drinkability here and a stablemate for a home-made Lasagne or Pappardelle with mushrooms.

The Cloak Sangiovese

Fragrant and enchanting, this wine has aromas of cherries and wild raspberries with complexing hints of savoury earth and spice. Earthy and savoury on the balance with fleshy berry fruit and plum, balanced with velvety tannins that provide subtle support. Eat with charred meat, charcuterie or tomato based pasta dishes.

Coriole Sangiovese

Coriole has been the pioneer of this variety in Australia - and for good reason! Spicy dark cherry and plum flavours, the palate is perfectly balanced with dusty drying tannins.

Castagna La Chiave

A world class Sangiovese that’s rich, deep and savoury. Biodynamic certified estate grown Sangiovese. Deep black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Emanating from the glass are spicy red currant and dark cherry scents which are complimented by earth, dried herb and leathery tobacco like notes. Rich and intensely concentrated with plenty of volume in the mouth, red to black currant, subtle liquorice and dark cherry fruits engulf the palate. Earthy tobacco, dried herb and spicy cedar characters ensue. Excellent drive with fresh acidity and a sturdy yet well integrated tannin structure lending a subtle chewy feel to the long expressive aftertaste. Drink over the next 5-6 years. Alc. 14.5%

Ciao Bella Sangiovese

The Ciao Bella Sangionvese epitomizes the age old Italian tradition of 'Bella Figura' (good image). This wine is rich deep and vibrant and full of gusto, perfect with a pizza or pasta and a classic Fellini.

Old Fat Unicorn Sangiovese

A wine with the pizzazz of a unicorn but the serious expression of a rhino, it will charge the palate with a surprising blend of stewed plum and bright cherry with hints of spice. Dazzling not just to the eye but every sense.

Conti Serristori Sangiovese

Sangiovese Conti Serristori has a ruby red colour, fragrant aromas with subtle hints of raspberries and wild strawberries. Dry, toughly and candid flavour, finishing on nicely lingering notes of blackberries and almonds, it pairs well with mixed grilled and roasted meats and sheep's milk cheese.

Tempus Two Graphite Sangiovese

De Bortoli Bella Riva King Valley Sangiovese

This medium bodied Sangiovese has wonderful earthy notes lifted with the bright red berried fruits and hints of dark chocolate. Savoury on the palate with flashes of red fruit and subtle layered length.

The Ethereal One Fleurieu Sangiovese

The Ethereal One celebrates wines with ethereal qualities - so delicious and graceful in style they seem not to be of this world. This remarkable Fleurieu Sangiovese explodes with aromas of strawberries and raspberries and hints of earthy, forest floor and anise. Red fruits dominate the flavours with layers of complex savoury herbs, and structured chalky tannins create a refreshing finish.
