Vasse Felix Tom Cullity Cabernet Malbec

Langton's Classification: Outstanding

Vasse Felix, Margaret River's founding wine estate, was established by Dr Thomas Brendan Cullity in 1967. Among his first plantings were Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec vines, from which he produced the estate's first red wine. The Tom Cullity descends from these original vines and represents the pinnacle of Vasse Felix. The inaugural release will be in May 2017, coinciding with Vasse Felix's 50th Anniversary.

Domaine Cosse Et Maisonneuve Marguerite

COSSE MAISON NEUVE Marguerite, Cahors Rouge 100% Malbec. La Marguerite is a silky and powerful, exceptionally pure micro plot cuvée which has only been produced since 2011 with only 2000 bottles. The fruit for the La Marguerite is sourced from a 5 ha vineyard with an average vine age of 10 years.

Domaine Cosse Et Maisonneuve Le Combal

COSSE MAISON NEUVE Le Combal, Cahors Rouge 100% Malbec. Pure, pristine fruit produced a clean, detailed wine that has all the drinkability of Malbec. The fruit for this wine was sourced from 3 ha 30+ year old vines planted on terraces of clay, gravel and siliceous soil. The vineyards are farmed organically, yielding approximately 45 hl/ha. The juice is vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The ferment is pumped over and this occurs for 15 days to around 3 weeks. The wine then spends 12 months in barrels before being bottled without filtering.
