AMELIE & CHARLES SPARR Brand Grand Cru Pinot Gris, Wettolsheim 2017 Hailing from the Brand Grand Cru, this Pinot Gris is grown on granitic soils at 380 metres altitude. Gold yellow in colour, it has enticing aromas of violets and minerals with subtle peach hints. Aging on fine less has added a wonderful textural dimension to the palate, which cries out for food cheeses or spicy would be an inspired choice. Grown according to the Ecocert certification, this is a ravishing Pinot Gris you dont want to miss.

Chateau Angelus, St-Emilion Grand Cru

Chateau Angélus is one of the most renowned estates of Saint-Émilion, currently designated Premier Grand Cru Classé A in the most recent classification of Saint-Émilion. Located due west of the town of Saint-Émilion, the estate’s vineyards lie on a warm south-facing slope. The Grand Vin is a dense and unctuous blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, matured in 85-100% new French oak barriques for 18-22 months. Complex and concentrated, Chateau Angélus can appear slightly austere when young, developing greater generosity and richness with age.

Penfolds Superblend 802.B Cabernet Shiraz

PENFOLDS Superblend 802.B Cabernet Shiraz, South Australia 2018 Australias most lauded winery has amalgamated their classic varietals for the coveted 2018 blend, sourcing fruit from Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra, Wrattonbully, Robe and Clare Valley. An impressive example of Cabernet Shiraz, the 802.B reflects the revered red labels curiosity, innovation and vision for producing elevated Australian wines. Time and time again. A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Shiraz blended after fermentation, then matured for 19 months in French oak hogsheads. The 2018 displays complex aromas of dark spiced fruit, graphite, soy, and chocolate with a hint of cedary oak. The palate is layered and sleek with pure and intense fruit flavours, and tannins that are mineral and fine. Medium to full-bodied, silky and delicate, with a long, lingering finish, the 802.B is a true collector's dream.

Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon

Penfolds Bin 407 began life back in 1993 with the release of the 1990 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon. Created as a result of the availability of high quality Cabernet fruit, Bin 407 is inspired by its older brother, Bin 707. Not only offering varietal definition, but also approachability, structure and depth of flavour. The Bin 407 highlights the Penfolds approach to multi-region, multi-vineyard blending to create a Cabernet that rewards the drinker in both early and later years.

Chateau Clos Haut-Peyraguey 1er cru classe

Few places seem to posses the divinely ordained right to produce Bordeaux’s other iconic export, Sauternes, quite like Clos Haut-Peyaguey. Across 12 hectares of plateau-topping Premier Cru Classé vineyard, Semillon (and a smidge of Sauvignon) grapes patiently wait out summer for the noble rot to set in. We’re talking about botrytis, of course. Once it does, the sweetest grapes are handpicked for vinification before being sent for a French oak siesta. The result is one of the world’s most revered sweet white wines. Unctuous and syrypy; floral and fruity; jammy and spicy: trés magnifique!
