First made in 1959, Penfolds Kalimna Shiraz is an icon in the field of warm-climate Shiraz. Always ripe, robust and generously flavoured. The Bin 28 is named after the Kalimna vineyard that was purchased back in 1945 and from which the original fruit was sourced from. Today, the Bin 28 is a great example of the Penfolds dedication to multi-region, multi-vineyard blending. The Barossa Valley will always remain an integral part of the Bin 28 blend providing rich, vibrant primary fruit flavours.

The fruit is sourced from three sites around the Peninsula which has the spice and black pepper characters, that are characteristic of this wine. John makes classic Australian styles from carefully selected vineyards with an emphasis on purity and site reflection, as well as German-inspired expressions that balance acidity and sugar with singular precision.

A delightful medium-bodied blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The nose shows blackcurrant, mint and licorice while the palate is rich and smoothly textured with plum, spice and chocolate flavours framed by fine tannins.

This Padthaway Sauvignon Blanc is full of fresh and crisp tropical fruit flavours with hints of capsicum and snow pea. This Sauvignon Blanc displays aromas of green grass, gooseberry and sweet capsicum with underlying tropical notes, culminating in a zesty palate that displays crisp snow pea with hints of passionfruit, and a delightful fruit depth that persists to a lingering finish.

The Berton Vineyard Metal Range takes stand alone varietals to make something exceptional. Australian Shiraz has forged an enviable reputation for huge unrestrained flavours that are exemplified by this wine. The Black Shiraz is a bold example of Australian Shiraz with deep colour and aromas of blackberry and plum over toasty vanillin and spicy oak. The palate is full flavoured and intense with rich plum, blueberry and mocha notes. The tannins are ripe and dense giving great structure and length to the palate.

Located in the heart of Western Australia’s renowned Margaret River wine region, the Pierro locality, owned and managed by Dr Mike Peterkin, has a viticultural pedigree second to none. Besides making award-winning Chardonnay of distinctive character, Mike also produced the first Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend in Australia. The Pierro reds are now among the very best in the region. Each parcel is hand-picked, chilled, hand-sorted and whole bunch pressed. There are multiple picks for this wine. With the first batches being picked for aromatic complexity and acidity, and the latter being picked for flavour and texture. Each batch is kept separate and inoculated with different yeasts depending on the variety and date picked. During this time a quarter of the wine is fermented in French oak barriques for 2-3 months for mouthfeel and texture. These different elements combine as a whole to provide an incredible amount of complexity to the final wine. The separate batches are then combined and left on fermentation lees for 3-4 months prior to bottling. A light dry wine, delicious when young but has the capacity and backbone to mature and develop in the bottle. Flavours of citrus, pear, green apple, melon and tropical fruit. Fresh, crisp and dry with both complexity and elegance. An ideal accompaniment to seafood and white meat dishes.

The Piccadilly Valley welcomed the Croser family back into the Tapanappa Winery with a typical cool weather vintage of exemplary quality. Stone fruit, honeydew and lemon zest, with spicy cedar oak in support. Medium bodied, tangy lemony acidity, almond and spice, firm and flinty finish. Its a wine of structure and coiled up power. Good now, but ideally needs a couple of years in the winerack.
