Bekkers Grenache McLaren Vale Sourced from three distinct vineyards of varying personality owning to rocky outcrops to ancient beach sands. Picked by hand, the fruit is vinified with 20% whole bunches and cold soaked for 5-6 days before natural fermentation and being basket pressed to aged French oak 500L puncheons. Standing on its own two feet, this release delivers a contemporary Shiraz alternative, framed by a mix of oaks; French and American, old and new - crafted in accordance with the traditional Penfolds method.

Bin 138 is inspired by the wines of Southern Rhône, where Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro are blended to create full-bodied wines. Each year fruit for Bin 138 is sourced from old Barossa Valley vines (some more than 100 years old) and matured for 12 to 15 months in seasoned oak hogsheads to allow the different varietals to shine through. Bin 138 is defined by its distinctive plum, raspberry pastille and underlying spicy notes. The first vintage release of this varietal blend was the 1992, labelled Old Vine Barossa Valley it was then elevated to Bin status for the 1998 vintage. Medium-bodied and refined, expect an initial outer husk of berried flavours followed by a mid-palate burst of fruits. One of the benchmark wines to come out of the Coonawarra, the Penfolds Bin 128 is a delightful cool-climate shiraz. Matured in French Oak, with flavours of white pepper and floral spice, the 2014 Bin 128 is a rich and full-bodied Shiraz.

Only one litre of Soul is obtained from every 33 litres of fermented sugarcane that is processed. An un-aged non-charcoal-filtered cachaca that is stored in stainless steel vats. Pure and crystal clean, its a high grade cachaca with a distinctive bouquet.

Conceived as a white wine development program, the Bin 51 Riesling soon became one of Penfolds' star performers. Eden Valley is an obvious choice of region for Riesling due to the higher altitude and cool climate. The wine offers delicate aromas of fresh cut apples and pears with a twist of lemon and minerality towards the end. A great deal of fruits and acidity makes for an interesting white wine with propensity to age gracefully if carefully cellared.
