One of Martinboroughs founding vineyards, Te Kairanga are know the world over for their outstang Pinot Nior. They also produce a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc. Showing a broad fruit spectrum of lime, green apples and melon, the palate has low acid and a generous mouthfeel with a slightly creamy texture. 10% of this wine has been barrel fermented. A very classy wine.

Pascal Reverdy’s domaine is based in the tiny hamlet of Maimbray. Maimbray is located in a valley surrounded by chalk hills adjacent to Chavignol and Verdigny. From their small cellar they produce one of France’s most highly awarded Sancerres’. Brilliant very pale straw colour with a watery hue. Aromas of lime and green apple infused with fresh herbs drift from the glass trailed by some light grassy and stony mineral scents. Lime and green apple fruits abound on the intensely flavoured palate underscored by fresh acidity. Good textural volume in the mouth with herbaceous grassy characters and stony mineral elements lying underneath. The dry, refreshing finish showing ample length. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Made from hand-picked Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc, Golden Child Island Life Fume Blanc 2021 is crisp and textural, with zingy citrus and spicy stone-fruit flavours. Hand-picked on a cool morning and whole bunch pressed directly to oak barrels. Natural yeast fermented then kept on full lees for five month. Blended then bottled. Golden Child Wines is a collaboration between grape grower David Hamilton and winemaker James. Their grapes are grown sustainably in the Kuitpo sub-region of the Adelaide Hills (no synthetic herbicides, pesticides or fertilisers). Their wines are made using natural yeast fermentation and are bottled with minimal additives. Golden Child wines are 100% vegan friendly.
