LARMANDIER BERNIER Latitude Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne NV Latitude is 100% Côte des Blancs Chardonnay from vineyards on the southern side of Vertus. These vineyards comprise rich clay in the soil and are on the same latitude, hence the name, which also hints at the breadth of texture that the wines from these sites express. A generous terroir and grapes picked fully ripe, Larmandier uses mostly large format casks using wood from Stockinger in Austria. The result is a superb texture, stone-fruited depth and pure minerality with that glorious citrusy, chalky energy the area is known for. The Latitude cuvée is the perfect festive Champagne, retaining the characteristic purity of the estate.

CHARTOGNE-TAILLET Cuvee Sainte Anne Merfy Brut, Champagne

Champagne house Lanson has made this romantic pink wine from their esteemed Reims estate. Made with majority Chardonnay, it is a full, rich, and joyous Champagne, ideal for both aperitif hour and summer dining. Aged for a minimum five years, under the traditional Lanson technique that does not allow malolactic fermentation, this wine captures the fruit-forward refreshment that so encapsulates the house style. Made from the best grand cru grapes, it is a light neon pink in colour with a fine, persistent bead. On the nose, you will smell dried rose and rich cherry. The palate is a rounded delight, with ripe fruit and a thrilling line of acid.

Its superb maturity tantalizes all the senses with a deep pink robe highlighted with glints of copper, an extremely delicate persistent effervescence, a nose of crushed strawberries, lime and liquorice underlined by a hint of roast coffee and cacao. The palate is entranced by a variation of gourmet sensations. The fresh, precise and taut attack gives way to reveal a supple, molten and heady structure. The finish imparts fruity notes underscored by a saline freshness. With the purity of its precise, gourmet aromatic structure, the Comtes de Champagne Rosé is perfectly in line with its predecessors and promises to offer excellent ageing potential.
