The fruit is sourced from three sites around the Peninsula which has the spice and black pepper characters, that are characteristic of this wine. FRANKLAND ESTATE Isolation Ridge Shiraz, Frankland River

The Holy Trinity is a richly flavoured and elegantly structured GSM that continues the long and lauded heritage for this traditional blend in the Barossa Valley. The nose is awash with ripe raspberries, plums and sweet spices of vanilla. The full-bodied wine is filled with vibrant flavours of fresh red fruits and vanilla, complemented by fine and ripe tannins that run the length of the palate. The dense, mouth-filling mid palate and long, textural finish combine to create a wine that is rich and elegant, sweet and savoury, and will sit beautifully on any table now, or cellar gracefully for 8-15 years.

First made in 1959, Penfolds Kalimna Shiraz is an icon in the field of warm-climate Shiraz. Always ripe, robust and generously flavoured. The Bin 28 is named after the Kalimna vineyard that was purchased back in 1945 and from which the original fruit was sourced from. Today, the Bin 28 is a great example of the Penfolds dedication to multi-region, multi-vineyard blending. The Barossa Valley will always remain an integral part of the Bin 28 blend providing rich, vibrant primary fruit flavours.

Fresh blackberry and boysenberry, spice, liquorice, tar and dried herbs. Medium bodied, juicy bramble fruits, crisp boysenberry acidity, salted beef, firm but fine grained drying tannin, and a long fresh meaty herb infused finish.

Altera Terra Corda Pinot Noir Shiraz, Murrumbateman Corda: Winemaker Doug Neals passion for Burgundy and reverence for traditional Australian styling is etched in his Corda cuvée, meaning hearts. It draws on the legacy of the great Maurice OShea and his parade of Australian Burgundy, blending 70% Pinot Noir with 30% Shiraz. It is translucent of hue, red fruited, savoury of personality, diaphanous of texture and succulent from attack to its persistent glide, long across the palate. Think red cherry, damson plum, bergamot and Asian five-spice. Each glass sees the wine shape-shift, becoming juicier, suave and richer in time. The trajectory for ageing is prodigious, although it is difficult to stop after tasting the first bottle!
