Tintara from South Australia's McLaren Vale represents both history and innovation in McLaren Vale. Dark, fragrant aromas of blood plum, blackcurrant and anise will draw you in to this contemporary expression of Coonawarra cabernet. It's a complex and thought-provoking wine, medium-bodied with layers of cassis, dark chocolate and toasty French oak. The savoury tannins provide a good line and length and there's a great persistence and depth of flavour, with the vibrancy of the fruit giving the wine real energy and lift. Enjoy it now, or cellar for a few years to be rewarded as the flavours evolve further.

Bright red fruits over leafy blackcurrant and tobacco notes. The palate is is ripe, vibrant and nicely balanced with good concentration of fruit flavours, ripe tannins and a spicy oaked finish. A late, wet and cold winter saw higher ground water reserves, followed by a late and truncated spring. Summer was mild with perfect conditions during flowering setting up higher yield expectations. Rain in early February and late March provided challenges but good ripening conditions thereafter finished off what turned out to be an exceptional vintage. The late vintage provided good colour extraction and fully developed flavours at lower alcohol levels. Grapes were picked at optimal ripeness, crushed into stainless steel fermenters for alcoholic fermentation. The wine was matured with French Oak for 16 months. It was fined and filtered before bottling. Nannup Estate sits high on the granite ridges of the Blackwood River Escarpment inland from the Margaret River Township. During the growing season, the vines enjoy long hours of sunshine followed by cool evenings and moderate coastal breezes in the afternoon, idyllic growing conditions. Abundant water, granite loam soils and low frost and disease pressure all contribute to reliable quality and consistent vintages. The first vines were planted in 1998, with subsequent plantings taking place in 2000, and 2006. The vineyard now comprises 16 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

Bright crimson red with bright purple hues. Lifted aromatic and varietal wine, showing blueberry and blackcurrant fruits, along with hints of violet and flowering thyme aromatics. The palate has fresh blue and dark berry fruit flavours, floral herb characters, along with hints of cocoa and cedary oak. It is medium bodied and flows through the palate with a nice line of fine tannin and has a good persistence of fruit.

Bleasdale continue to offer amazing quality wines at some fantastic price, and the Frank Potts Cabernet Malbec blend is no different. A touch of Petit Verdot, Cab Franc and Merlot add to this delicious mix that results in a rich texture of blackberry, chocolate and violets.
