Before long, international patrons and publicans alike were clamouring for more Paddy, so the whiskeys name was changed to honour the man himself, as global demand increased. Paddys namesake whiskey, triple distilled and aged in the oaken casks of County Cork, Ireland, was always light, balanced and pure. Evan Williams is America's second largest selling Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey. This whiskey has grown up well. The body is medium to light, and the palate bears some leather, cedar, vanilla and hints of caramel. The finish is medium to long, and oh, so warm and soothing.
