This particular Clare Riesling vintage is still tight and restrained with a linear focus to the palate and purity of fruit flavours. There are lashings of fresh lemon/lime juice characters up front and a slate-like minerality across the mid-palate. It is backed up by a persistent and refreshing lime acid finish.

Aromas of lemon, grapefruit juice, brown lime and white flowers combine with a lick of mineral and wet slate on the nose. The palate is refreshing, with flavours of grapefruit and citrus rind with a white floral lift. The fruit weight shows the hallmarks of Watervale Riesling with zesty acidity, that gives line but still allows a sense of generosity.
