Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon

Langton's Classification: Excellent

Penfolds Bin 407 began life back in 1993 with the release of the 1990 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon. Created as a result of the availability of high quality Cabernet fruit, Bin 407 is inspired by its older brother, Bin 707. Not only offering varietal definition, but also approachability, structure and depth of flavour. The Bin 407 highlights the Penfolds approach to multi-region, multi-vineyard blending to create a Cabernet that rewards the drinker in both early and later years.

Penfolds Cabernet Shiraz

2015 was a very good year for Bin 389. Some say it was the best wine of the Penfolds release in its graduate year. Deeply coloured, unhurried in its evolution, still loads of buoyant fruit impact at the front, then descending, Penfolds-style, into a multi-faceted, deeply flavoured, smoothly edged charmer. It's a definite "keeper". Bin 389's repuation is enhanced just a little bit more with this vintage. To be enjoyed with best friends over a great meal.

Saltram The Journal Shiraz

William Salter plnated his first vines in the Barossa in 1859 and subsequently kept a meticulous journal to record his entire vineyard and winemaking activities. This included the techniques that are still employed today to make Saltram's many trademark wines. The Journal Shiraz is a tribute to Salter's attention to detail and his quest to make the best Shiraz under the Saltram name.

McKenzie & Grace Cabernet Sauvignon (Case of 12)

McKenzie and Grace Cabernet Sauvignon is dark garnet in colour with a purple hue. The nose with fragrant with blueberries and juicy red fruits. The palate boasts fruits and spices with savoury tannins.

Penfolds Bin 600 California Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

Bin 600 is intrinsically linked to Penfolds beginning in California, a narrative that now spans three decades. In 1998, Penfolds imported a heritage selection of vine cuttings from South Australia’s esteemed Kalimna and Magill Estate vineyards and planted them in Californian soil. The original name of the Camatta Hills vineyard was called Creston “600” Ranch, a special place in the Penfolds California timeline for it serves as a reference point to the start of our American journey. Ample, indulgent. A “European” savoury aroma profile, refined, inviting. Spicy marinated olives, fetta, semi-dried tomatoes. A glossy and resolved palate, malt and toast. Generous, sweet fruits. The sweet American oak wraps around the core of dark fruits encapsulating everything the wine holds within. When the oak bubble is pierced, a burst of custard, goji berries, medjool dates and choc-malt creaminess is released. Oregano, hazelnut and cinnamon season the palate. Structurally, the wine flares rather than focusses to a finish. A clarity to the tannins, a resolved palate.

This wine is the flagship of Domaine A and is only produced in vintages of exceptionally high standard. The bouquet shows classic Cabernet varietal aromas and the palate is long and concentrated.

Moppity Escalier Shiraz

Moppity Escalier Shiraz is a stunning blend of 2% Viognier grapes with 98% Shiraz grapes. These grapes were whole bunch pressed and cold soaked for 3 days, followed by fermentation. The juice was then barrel aged in French hogsheads and puncheons. The resulting wine presents a deep purple colour lined by dark hues. The attractive nose exudes vibrant aromas of black fruits, black olives, bramble fruits, pepper, graphite and spice. The fine and silky palate is rife with bitter chocolate, sweet dark fruit and spice box flavours. These layered flavours and fragrances fuse together, culminating the wine in an intense and lengthy finish. This mouth-watering Shiraz pairs best with beef brisket tortillas, eggplant parmigiana, and lambs liver with onions and bacon.

Hippie Cabernet Merlot (Case of 12)

The Hippie Cabernet Merlot is a beautiful wine sourced from a blend of Margaret River and Blackwood Valley fruit. It is clearly varietal, leafy, medium bodied red showing its real style.
