Heart & Soil Langhorne Creek Shiraz

The Heartland story began in the late 1990s when winemaker Ben Glaetzer became excited about the outstanding quality of fruit being grown in some of South Australia’s lesser-known regions, in particular Langhorne Creek. Together with industry veterans, Scott Collett, Grant Tilbrook and more recently Nick Keukenmeester, they grew Heartland into an award-winning winery. In their velvety 93pt Heart & Soil Shiraz, a depth of black forest fruit and cassis is framed by the vanilla and Christmas spices of judiciously used French and American oak. Expect soft tannins and a lingering finish. "Richly fruited and instantly appealing, the wine shows blackberry, vanilla, mixed spice and toasted nut aromas, followed by a generously expressed palate offering succulent fruit flavours with silky texture and fine-grained tannins. Plump and velvety, making it highly enjoyable... 93pts" (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit).
