Wicks Estate in Adelaide Hills presented this great Chardonnay which is light straw - yellow in colour. It was created using grapes that were crop - thinned and leaf - plucked extensively by the growers so that superior - quality chardonnay grapes could be obtained from the vineyard. After compression was done and the juice was extracted from the fruit, it was poured into a select range of French barrels so that it could undergo barrel fermentation. The result was this richly flavoured wine that is bound to please most white wine lovers.

Over the years Ben has been searching for the perfect cold site to make a dry Chardonnay renowned for the purity of its aroma and taste.

Sitting high in the Adelaide Hills, Sidewood hand craft single vineyard wines of the utmost complexity. Their Chardonnay is made up of four French Chardonnay clones from the Ashwood vineyard and shows a crisp front palate with lifted layers of aromatic fruit. Each clone provides a unique flavour profile to the end result and delivers a wine displaying complex pear, peach & fig fruit flavours with some lovely nutmeg and sage spice notes.

With aromas of white peach, pink grapefruit, Meyer lemon aromas leading to delightful flavours of grilled almonds, lychee and finger lime, all punctuated by a slaty, mineral-driven acidity. The wine is tight and racy with fine Oak tannins to support this powerfully structured Chardonnay.

Hilary Adelaide Hills Chardonnay is a thoroughly modern and elegant Australian Chardonnay that offers a creamy style with subtle flavours and approachable character. From the Adelaide Hills, this Chardonnay shows pure essence of fresh varietal character. Harvested in the cool early hours of the morning with acidity is at its best, its structure and body give a lush creamy texture and lingering finish. Matured in light French oak for 9 months with extra time on lees has given this wine the softness and complexity on the finish. Aromas of nectarine and nashi pear are quite evident. Best paired with mild, buttery or creamy dishes.
