The Silke Irish Whiskey is the distilleries first step on their ambitious journey. They are in the process of building their distillery but that didn't stop them from producing this top class whiskey. They have sourced a blend of grain and malt whiskeys that when blended together produce a signature soft mouth feel. The end result is a straw gold colour with hints of amber. The nose is malty and fresh, green apples, and opens to a honey butteriness. The palate is soft honey, with hints of brioche, butterscotch, digestive biscuits, orange zest, and stem ginger. It finished warm and elegant.
