Cat Amongst The Pigeons Shiraz certainly does it's name justice with a Shiraz that serves it up to the all the favourite heavy hitting Shiraz on the shelves. With an alluring nose of pepper, blueberry, and blackberry, this Barossa Valley beauty has layers of flavour, ripe fruit, excellent balance, and enough structure to evolve for a few years.

Bursting with quintessential Pepperjack character, this Mid Strength wine displays aromas of blackberries and plums with hints of pepper and spice. The palate is rich, round, and soft with concentrated berry fruits and soft velvety tannins. BUT, is 7% lighter in alcohol than a standard Pepperjack Shiraz.

The Fat Cat Shiraz from Cat Amongst the Pigeons from the Barossa is made from carefully selected grapes, chosen for their superior quality. The result? The ultimate Borossa Shiraz full of intense, rich flavours of plum, blackberry and a hint of spice.

With fruit sourced from vineyards across the Barossa, this Shiraz expresses the characters of the variety and the Barossa. The wine is matured in old French oak and tanks, with each parcel kept separate until the final blending prior to bottling in October 2017. Deep, dark hues of purple and burgundy, with dark plum, lashings of pepper, whispers of vanilla and allspice. Blaxland have recently been added to Hallidays Wine Companion following a string of good reviews for their wines. Z Wine's Rustica Shiraz is an intense crimson red with purple hues followed by aromas of ripe cherry and red plum which are complimented by hints of pepper and spice with lifted perfumed notes. The palate is warm and full flavoured, displaying generous sweet red fruit, such as cherry, raspberry and plum. These fruits are couple with cedar spice notes and the soft mouth-filling tannins carry the fruit as well as providing structure and length to the wine. This wine is an exemplary example of a lifted, fruit filled Barossa Shiraz suitable for drinking in its youth.
