Sticks Blanc de Blanc

Sticks Yarra Valley is beautifully situated on a single site in the picturesque Yarra Valley, an hour’s drive from Melbourne. The Winery and Cellar Door, which are nestled in to the base of the Christmas Hills, have unparalleled views of the Estate vineyard and Great Dividing ranges. Sticks Blanc de Blanc 2021 is pale lemon in colour with a persistant, fine bead. Lemon curd, brioche and freshly sliced green apple; on the palate - quince and lightly poached pears with a lovely line of citrus, leading to a cleansing and refreshing finish.

TarraWarra Estate Yarra Valley Chardonnay

It didn't take much encouragement from Yarra Valley winemaker Dr John Middleton to convince TarraWarra Estate's Marc and Eva Besen to plant their first 6 hectares of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in 1983. Their love of Burgundian wines also played a part. Today, the property features 28 hectares of vines, an extensive nature reserve, cattle grazing, a kitchen garden and a beautiful cellar door and restaurant. The Chardonnay was selected from seven separate blocks across the property. Great intensity with stone fruits, a touch of citrus and underlying cashew nut flavours. Creamy texture and subtle use of oak leading to a fresh, lingering finish. “Handpicked, whole bunch-pressed, 50% fermented in tank, 50% in oak of various sizes, forests and toasts, no mlf. Good mouthfeel: balance of stone fruits, apple and grapefruit, oak subtly balanced...95pts” (Halliday Wine Companion, James Halliday).

Pacha Mama Chardonnay

Pacha Mama has put down roots, out in the sticks, amidst the vines of Yarra Glen. This Chardonnay celebrates its Yarra Valley home. It's vibrant, yet complex. There's a bit of fruit, burnt matchsticks mingle with melon and citrus. It's all about harmony and balance.

Oakridge Wines Vineyard Series Willowlake Chardonnay

Oakridge Wines Vineyard Series Willowlake Chardonnay, Yarra Valley The wines from the Willowlake Vineyard provide a fascinating contrast to those from the Henk Vineyard. First planted in 1992, the vineyard is located near Gladysdale and boasts red volcanic soils and an elevation of 170 metres. Like every wine in the Vineyard Series, minimal intervention in the winery is the name of the game. After hand harvesting, whole bunches are included in the fermentation which takes place in 500 litre French oak puncheons. After nine months maturation on yeast lees, the resulting wine serves up complex characters of citrus, nectarine, fresh dough and gun flint. In a word, its sublime.
