As Australian Chardonnay continues its re-emergence, Vasse Felix Heytesbury is firmly leading the charge with its complex, modern style that has seen the winemaking team take home a cabinet full of trophies and gold medals in recent years. 100% wild yeast fermented and matured in French oak for only nine months, there is a power and persistence that is unmistakable. A flavour cavalcade of matchstick, citrus, white peach and grapefruit alongside a subtle toasty, nutty aspect from the sublime oak regime. The finish of this remarkable example will leave you in no doubt to this wines pedigree and ageability. Sheer classic.

Deep Woods Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Langton's Classification: Excellent

Deep Woods most vaunted red earned its place in the Langtons Classification in 2018 (7th Edition) after displaying consistent quality and demand for the required minimum ten vintages. It is one of those wines at the tip of the Margaret River spear - demonstrating the brilliance that continues to come from that corner of Cabernet Country. ...imbued with power and elegance, pure fruit definition, fine-grained tannins and integrated savoury oak. Classification VII (2018) Deep Woods Estates sustainable and minimal-intervention farming and new trellising systems to optimise exposure have brought the vineyard into the big time. Houghton Evolution 37 Chenin Blanc

Houghton made wine for 101 years before Jack Mann created the iconic, and incredibly influential, White Burgundy in 1937. In 2023, more than 80 years on, Houghton honoured this history with the release of this exquisite old vine chenin blanc from Margaret River. With a foot in the past and an eye on the future, EV/37 represents chenin blanc at its best—vibrant, delicate, layered, textural.

Howard Park Allingham Chardonnay

Blind Corner Wilyabrup Evangaline

Ben Gould’s small-batch organic and biodynamic Chenin is sourced from Blind Corner’s Quindalup vineyard in the famed Margaret River wine region. Soils are predominantly sand over pea gravel with a granite base. This ferments spontaneously on skins in two Georgian qvevri buried underground in bushland to the east of the vineyard. It rests for 100 days before the free-run juice is passed through a stainless-steel sieve before flowing directly to the bottling line. There is no acidification or fining, and the wine is bottled without sulphur.
