It has a charming appealing nose with notes of citrus (tangerines, oranges), the palate elegantly displays a subtle balance of fresh fruit aromas (peach, lemon, blackcurrant) supported by a silky refreshing smoky finale, typical of Pouilly-Fumé wines.

A modern Sauvignon Blanc which is full-flavoured and vivacious. The full flavours of tropical fruits are balanced by crisp acidity and a textural finish.

The Ned is a Kiwi Savvy with a more mineral accent, offering structure indicative of Marlborough region. The tropical elements still shine gooseberries aplenty and a dainty touch of fruit sweetness in the finish. The citrus fuelled aromatic thread that dominates the nose carries through to the palate with concentrated flavours of mandarin and musky pink grapefruit. A family owned and operated winery in Western Australia's glorious Margaret River wine region. The ancient terroir, pure ocean breezes, and warm mild climate produce vintages of balance, complexity and quality, as clearly demonstrated in this juicy and admirable Sauvignon Blanc. Vibrant aromas of honeysuckle and mandarin before a palate of honeydew, citrus blossom and white peach flavours. 18% underwent fermentation in French oak, and was then left of lees for 5 months. The result? A creamy texture with hints of cashew, superbly balanced by a fine acid line drawing the wine through to a long, flavoursome finish. The Chauveau family have been making wine since the 19th Century, and in the mid 1990s Benoit Chauveau gradually took over the vineyards of his grandparents and parents. Today, their property has over 17 hectres including of Pouilly Fumé, Pouilly sur Loire and Coteaux du Giennois. A new cellar was added to the estate for the 2012 harvest. Their approach is to continually strive to improve the quality of their wines through the development of sustainable methods. Located just opposite the Pouilly Fumé designation, on the other side of the Loire, the Sancerre designation is also known for the quality of its white wine, 100% Sauvignon. Benoît Chauveau Sancerre has a very pale yellow colour with greenish tints. Vivacious and bursting with fruit, dominant floral and fruity aromas. The crisp attack gives way to a rich, rounded palate for a finale full of freshness. Sancerre makes a delightful aperitif. It is also perfect with grilled fish, seafood, scallops and white meats. A great match for Crottin de Chavignol AOC goat cheeses from the Centre region.
