Peter Lehmann 'Pastor's Son' Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon

Peter Lehmann was known as the ‘Baron of the Barossa’, was a member of the Order of Australia, was called “a legend in his own lifetime” (Halliday) and “the most famous man in the Australian wine business” (Matthew Jukes). Barossa Cabernet is lavishly dark and mouthfilling ... as you’ll see when you taste this luscious Gold-winning example. Classic, inky black colour with generous lashings of rich dark blackcurrant, forest fruits, chocolate with eucalypt mint and spice undertones.

Bethany Bethany Creek Barossa Cabernet Sauvignon

With some of the oldest vines in the Barossa, Bethany Wines has held a special place in the regions winemaking story for more than 40 years. The eastern ridge of the Barossa Valley provides a unique sub regional expression of Shiraz from this great wine growing area. Sourced from Schrapel family vineyards and those of a close neighbour and friend, this wine has all the hallmarks of this special place. A dark purple red in colour, the youthful nature of this wine is evident in the glass. A fresh, intense nose of red and black fruits and lifted clove spice is evident on the nose together with a tightening note of clean earth. A rich and balanced palate displaying black fruits and clove spice. A soft, ripe tannic framework giving structure and direction to the wine. Dark fruits embelish the strong framework and provide a long and balanced finish.

Murray Street Artisan Cabernet Shiraz

A blend of 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Shiraz matured in French oak hogsheads and barriques for 16 months. Dense inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant and dark plum mix with liquorice, hints of cigar box, vanillin earth like notes and spice. Rich blackcurrant and liquorice fruits flood the mouth with notions of toasty vanillin cedar, earth and spicy tobacco sitting underneath. A ripe sturdy tannin structure lends a robust feel to the lengthy finish. Drink over the next 4-5 years. Alc. 14.6%

This is seriously good Cabernet from the Barossa Valley. Displaying blackcurrants and plums with a hint of cigar box and soft supple velvety tannins.

Bethany Cabernet Merlot

The Bethany Cabernet Merlot from the Schrapel family's Bethany winery exhibits herbal blackberry and cherry flavours with subtle oak in the background. Drinking well now, but also can handle a little bit of medium term cellaring to really coax those soft, ripe tannins to infuse beautifully with its primary fruit.

Curator Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in a combination of French (15% new) and American oak. Magnificent inky black in colour with a deep dark red black hue. Jumping out of the glass is a mix of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum and liquorice scents which are intermeshed with vanillin cedar, subtle dried herb and spice notes. Deep, rich and concentrated the palate is engulfed with ripe blackcurrant, plum and liquorice fruits. Traces of choc mint, vanillin oak and spice ensue. A nicely balanced freshness complimenting the plush texture. Velvet smooth tannins with excellent power and a long opulent aftertaste. Drink over the next 5-6 years. Alc. 15%

Little Giant Little Batch Cabernet Malbec

From the western end of the Barossa famed for growing rich and structured wines. The combination of Malbec and Cabernet lends structure and body to the blend. Cabernet brings spice, cedar and dried herbs while the Malbec adds blue fruits and chalky tannins.

Steinborner & Reynolds Barossa Deutsche Cabernet

The Barossa we love today was heavily influenced by the Barossa Deutsche. Their legacy can still be clearly seen in the patchwork of vineyards across the Valley floor today.Using only fruit from a friends old vines, the 2017 Vintage was matured for 2years in a blend of French and American oak. Black Cherries are apparent on the nose, backed-up on the palate by cassis and spice-laden chocolate.
